Girls Weekend

Once a year I indulge in a soul-cleansing GIRLS WEEKEND with my besties.

It is not always the same group every year (and that is a good thing), but there is enough overlap that we can collectively look back over the past twelve years and reminisce about the great places we've visited, the good times we've had and the belly-shaking laughs we've shared. . . (not to mention the copious amounts of wine and food we've consumed!)

This past weekend was another such event and I have to give kudos to the dedicated planning duo of JulieKat and BetsyB for picking out another amazing mountain house for us to rent. We stayed in a little town outside of Boone, NC called "Valis" and rented a brand new home called Twilight Dreams from Blue Ridge Rentals (an excellent establishment all around.)

This gorgeous home slept twelve adults comfortably (no pull out sofas for this group of ladies!) and included a hot tub on the wrap around porch, a billiards table in the spacious first floor entertainment area and free wifi (it's a must these days you know!) plus the most luxurious bed and bath linens we had encountered to date. . . Who says that the WESTIN has the market cornered on a great night's sleep?
