Wedding Revenge

Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement -- not even her parent's nasty divorce.
 
Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best dressed mother- of-the-bride ever!
 
A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new young wife had bought the exact same dress! Jennifer asked her to exchange it, but she refused.  'Absolutely not, I look like a million bucks in this dress and I'm wearing it,' she replied.
 
Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, 'Never mind sweetheart. I'll get another dress.  After all, it's your special day.'

 

A few days later, they went shopping and did find another gorgeous dress.  When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, 'Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it.

 

Her mother just smiled and replied, 'Of course I do, dear.  I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.'

 

JEALOUSY

About a year ago I made a job change. . .

Thus began my blog about JEALOUSY.

In retrospect, such meditations are best left to my personal diary. . . so I've removed the (possibly) offensive entry and will move forward with a more careful approach to what I dish out. . . lest I decide to run for political office one day!

Okay, enough ranting for now … I’m curious to see what ads that Google decides to serve up now alongside this blog. Is there a company that has identified the keyword TACKY? Or possibly RANT? If there is a “revenge kit”, I’ll be the first to order it. . . .

I owe this idea to Valerie's boyfriend DAVID (something?) but I'm not ashamed to make it my own. Here goes my first pass at building my own list. . .

1) Mountain Bike at the Nat'l White Water Center - DONE :-)
2) Climb at the Nat'l White Water Center - DONE
3) Kayak at the Nat'l White Water Center - Booked Lesson in Summer of 2013 but then injured elbow (broke the bone, or shattered as the doc said) .. .  so will postpone til summer of 2014. ..
4) Compete in a Triathlon (Lake Norman Tri on 8/23/08)

Such an amazing artist . . . such a coincidence I would even have a connection to her.

Brandy (in my Margarita Mommy group) is married to Kurt Bombien. His cousin is Brianna Martray and she paints emotions. .. she used her hands (no brushes) and works on unusual materials sometimes too (like wood). You can see her fingerprints and her fingernail scratches in many of her pieces. . . her swirls of color and motion are exactly what I'd create if I had the materials at hand.

Hat's off to an amazing young talent. I will honor you on my "50 Things Before I turn 50" list by attempting to create my own "visual representation of emotion".
